Gurdonark lives in Allen, Texas USA, on the southern edge of what once was prairie. He records “weirdbient” music, which crosses genres in pursuit of an individual (i.e., “odd”) muse, with a focus on ambience. He tends to call his work “fun” where another might “reach” for words like “experimental”.
He records for Negative Sound Institute, DiSfish, and
frequently posts remixes at CC Mixter. He has been featured on complilation albums at DarkWinter, Zymogen, Intelligent Machinery and Wandering Ear.
Gurdonark is one half of the electronica duo (with Verian Thomas, its other half) called The Thomas Nunnally Ensemble.
He has been featured in interviews at Splicemusic.com and Bleepwatch.net, and reviews ambient music at the Ambient Review weblog.
He utilizes freeware, shareware, home-made instruments, a mountain dulcimer, kazoos, electric football fields, and a fervent quest for truth in pursuit of his creative muse.
His day job is lawyering. His other avocations are chess, poetry and hiking. He and his wife enjoy a good conversation, kind people, and their two
frolicsome dogs.
